Ordinance 26-25 proposes a drastic change to the residential rental registration fee structure—raising it from a one-time $35 fee to a $600 annual fee. Even more troubling, it introduces a penalty that gives law enforcement the authority to remove tenants from a property if the owner fails to comply.
